Ecronova Polymer GmbH

Aheim Unternehmer Fonds I KG, a private equity fund focusing on growing Mittelstand-companies in the German speaking region and advised by Aheim Capital, has successfully closed the Management Buyout of Ercros Deutschland GmbH together with the two operating managers Peter Montag and Anton Solich. The company, previously a foreign subsidiary of the Spanish chemical group Ercros S.A., Barcelona, and representing the group's dispersions division, was divested by its parent to focus on its core basic chemicals business.

Ercros Deutschland GmbH, which has been renamed to Ecronova Polymer GmbH, is engaged in the globally growing segment of water-based polymer dispersions. At its facility in Recklinghausen the company develops and produces styrene acrylic, vinyl acetate, pure acrylic emulsions and polyurethane dispersions. Its products are distributed all over Europe; among the customers are the leading German paints and lacquers companies.

Long-term customer relationships, a broad product spectrum, flexible production facilities combined with a high degree of supply reliability and innovation are the key characteristics of Ecronova Polymer GmbH. An extensive capital expenditure programme is planned over the next years to enforce the strong sales growth in the past years und sustain it for the future. "We are very happy that the transaction was made possible together with Aheim Capital. It will allow a sustainable positive development of the business and the realization of our strategic goals", says Peter Montag. His co-partner Anton Solich adds: "Hence, in addition to securing the place of location and the workplaces, it ensures continuity with our customers and business partners."
